Groundhog Rolls Recipe
Ingredients

2 pkg.yeast
1 Tbsp. sugar
1/2 Cup warm water
2 Eggs
4 Tsp. salt
1/2 Cup sugar
2 1/2 Cup scalded milk
1/4 Cup shortening; melted
8 Cups flour

Cooking Instructions

Combine yeast, 1 tbsp. sugar, and warm water; let set until bubbly. In a large mixing bowl, place eggs, salt, and 1.2 cup sugar. Add scalded milk, shortening, yeast mixture, and 4 cups flour to make soft batter; beat until smooth. stir in remaining flour. place in greased container covered and let rise until dough doubles in size. shape into rolls; place into greased pan. let rise until doubled in size. Bake in 350 degree oven 35 minutes or until golden brown.
